The annual Gingerbread decorating contest. Always a fantastic time had by all (especially Hu).
And what Christmas break in PL would be complete without a 1,000 piece puzzle?!?! Many-a-mornings were spend working on this bugger (well, mornings, afternoons, evenings and nights!).
Family bowling day in January (Katie spent the weekend with Grandma and Grandpa)
A quick visit to the Newport Beach Temple. By this time (mid-February) we knew we were leaving California and moving to Texas...
Huhtala and her babies came for a visit!
Trip to Balboa
Ruby's on the Pier (oh, how I already miss it!!)
During the packing days, there were desperate times. I love that Haylie fixed a Caesar salad for her and Audra in a pot!
One last trip from our Melines! This picture pretty much says it all.
Getting in our last Disneyland days. Front seat on Space Mountain!
Katie is quite the diva taking a trip to the American Girl Doll store in LA
Lunch with our girls
First day of school at Villareal Elementary. This shot is taken in our driveway. We live on an acre out here -- it's the country!
Audra riding her bike in the driveway. She thinks she is big, but she is really just a baby still.
Rasacas are everywhere here in southern Texas. They are these cool lakes that used to be part of the Rio Grande. The make everything look so pretty!
These are out of order....

Thanks to Nana and Papa for making the trek down here and helping us unpack! This day we took a visit to South Padre Island, about 30 minutes from our house.
The beach!
The bridge to the island

Wow, I can't believe you guys are in Texas now. And an acre of land, wow! Much different then the high rises we live in! How nice though to have space for the girls to play around. It was fun to see the updates (I need to get on the ball of blogging as well). Hope you guys enjoy your new place.
an update! I've been waiting! Post some pictures of your house. I'm so happy i got to see you in CA before you left for TX. your family is the cutest!
Enjoy Texas! You guys seem to move a lot! What a blessing...you'll have so many wonderful friends everywhere across the US. :) Texas is a state of great pride, just watch out for those RED ANTS! (We used to live there when I was really little and that's all I remember about it, oh, and my Strawberry Shortcake birthday cake when I turned 5.)
Your girls are adorable!
Yes! Finally...this is exactly what I have been waiting for. I'm sad we didn't take a photo together. Then I would have made the Cardon blog too:)
Sounds like Texas is good! I assume all the kids know not to run into the rasacas right outside of school?
Great update! I look forward to seeing your next post when you move again! :) Hee hee! Love you miss you!
Oh, I miss your girlies. They can come stay again any time!!!! I love blogging now that I live in Mexas because life here is so random and I love sharing it with others. Not to many rasacas are way, but then again after the torrential downpour last night, we have rasacas every where! Can't wait to see you guys this week!
opps...correction..."not too many rasacas OUR way"
I can't believe you are in Texas! You have had so many moves in the last few years...I feel your pain. It looks like you are in a beautiful area; I hope you and your family love it there. We are moving back to CA at the end of the summer, so I am bummed that we missed you while you were living in CA!
You have such a beautiful family!
