Farmer's Market and Gardens of the World

We had a great Saturday. And then it all went downhill... Haylie woke up with a headache, but after a little Tylenol she was fine. So, we decided to head to Camarillo's Farmers Market that is held every Saturday morning downtown. Yummy! Fruits, veggies and some really good Kettle Corn.

Afterwards, we headed about 10 minutes north to Thousand Oaks to visit the Gardens of the World. It was very pretty....

Since we were already out, we took the liberty of taking ourselves to eat at Claim Jumper. While we were there Hayile started getting really cold...never a good sign! And then on the way home, she fell asleep.
To make a long story short, she ended up with a 104.7 degree fever (no seizure this time, lucky us) and a really nasty flu. One by one, we have all fallen. My sweet Mom came up for a couple of days to tend to us. We are slowly seeing some improvement. Haylie's been fever free for 12 hours now - after 4 days! Katie wins the award for the sickest person this hour. Aurda seems to be on the mend. Trevor is just in the beginning stages. And me...I've never been so sick in my life (although at this moment I feel like I might live).

Oh Kimmy, I'm so sorry to hear you are all so sick! Especially all at the same time. I'm really glad your mom is there to help. It's so hard to take care of sick kids when you are sick yourself. Glad your day out was good. The pictures are really neat. I hope you're out and about again soon, really.

Uggh! So sorry to hear about your sicknesses. That's never fun. Carson, James and I all have a hacking cough. Never fun when you're pregnant, but hey, at least I don't have a sore throat and am wishing I could throw down some medicine, and can't! :o) I LOVE Claim Jumpers, and the market would've been my kind of thing. I love picking out fresh veggies and fruits.
Good luck on getting better and FAST!

Yuck- we have been there and done that more than once! The joys of young kids developing immune systems! Good luck to you!

What the? Where did this blog come from? Lucky me to have stumbled across it. Sorry to hear about the sickness, but happy to hear about your new house. So I guess I'm just neutral.

Oh Kimmie - we had that same flu! I'm so sorry you guys got it...it really was the worst. Hopefully you are ALL feeling better by now.

I'm obsessed with farmers markets -you're so lucky to have one so close to you.

Glad I could catch up - your family is so so cute.
